Cluster I: “Computation and Simulation”

This Cluster brings together the expertise of all YIN-members who work in simulation, modeling and computer science. While research topics differ significantly over the disciplines, researchers face similar challenges when it comes to the maintenance of software code or the homogenization of information in multiscale modeling. Pooling the know-how in those areas from all groups and learning from each other will certainly yield a significant benefit for all participants. In addition to future collaboration, the implementation of a meeting or seminar series for graduate students working in these fields is planned.

  • Areas of work: simulation, modeling and computer science
  • Common topics:
    • maintenance of software code
    • homogenization of information in multiscale modeling
  • Disciplines: Theoretic Informatics, Physical Chemistry, Biochemistry, Computation, etc.
