Competence Fields are interdisciplinary forums of thematically related competencies. All of the scientifically active KIT-members whose scientific-technical competence is directly related to a certain Competence Field may belong to that Competence Field. Concerning the contents the Competence Field’s tasks encompass scientific exchange, the forming of ideas through communicative and coordinating processes as well as the conception of new projects, in which scientists explore additional financial resources and set up multidisciplinary networks.
